FOR NEW AND CURRENT PATIENTS: The House of Teuila clinic will be open limited hours for October and November 2019 as Kirby goes on vacation from October 26 until November 16, and as we work to transition out of the Chinatown/International District location and into our new space. Because of this, we highly suggest that patients book appointments ahead of time to ensure you get continued care. Kirby and I will do our best to accommodate your needs. If the times available do not work, we encourage you to go on to our website and check out the referrals offered on the resource page. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or text us. -Front Desk
Testimonial of the month
I started seeing Kirby because I’ve had pain in my left shoulder. For the last six years, I couldn’t lift my arm over my head without it going numb or tingly and I couldn’t practice yoga without overcompensating on my right side for my left shoulder. I’ve tried pt, chiro, massage, and acupuncture is the first thing that has helped get things moving. Now I can do pushups and arm-balances and handstands; things I haven't really been able to do before and I have balance and fluidity in my life and in my practice. For the first time in over six years, I can finally do a push-up - just this last month! I’ll finally be able to do yoga teacher training at the end of the year.
Kirby treated my shoulder and neck. She also treated my allergies and sinuses and used a combination of heat, cupping and acupuncture. I would initially feel better right away, and then hold the treatment for 5-10 days, and now combined with daily yoga practice I have full movement and range of motion and no pain. I’ve added in strength training and now the only pain I have in my shoulder is from a good workout.
I love that Kirby really gets to know you as a person. She treats you holistically and she really just looks at pain as a symptom. She really gets down to the root cause, how your body is moving, and what you need to feel your best self.
Q: What would you say to someone who is thinking about trying acupuncture?
